Fried Calamari = Fried Squid

  It's like Japanese Tempura, coated with flour, eggs and bread crumbs, and then deep fry. I don't like squids actually except this one, because it's fried? I guess...XD

  I made it last 2 days, pretty late to post. Because i was not in the right mood.

  Some people used squid rings, it works the same. The key is the flour, egg and bread crumbs, we need those for crispiness and egg to hold bread crumbs. Of course you can serve it with salad, as in main dish. Well, here's the recipe for fried calamari...

300g squid or squid ring
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tbsp ginger juice
salt & pepper to taste
100g flour
100g bread crumbs
1 egg,whisked
oil for frying

1. Marinate squids with minced garlic, ginger juice, salt and pepper overnight, or at least 2-6 hours, in refrigerator.

2. Take the marinated squids out of refrigerator, coat with flour for 1st layer.
3. And then, get dunked with egg. For last layer, coat it with bread crumbs by rolling on the bread crumbs.
4. Fried it until golden brown with hot oil.
